HISTORY "From a Suitcase" IBEW #317 Federal Credit Union was granted Charter #14030 from the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) on October 25, 1960. This was our beginning. In the early years, the Treasurer of the credit union would visit the jobsites toting a suitcase for a file drawer. From the case he recruited new members and took care of any and all transactions. We have since grown "out of the case" with assets totaling $ 14,100,000. as of October 31, 2003 and an office staff of four full-time employees. The credit union is a non-profit, full service financial institution owned by its members and governed by a Board of Directors that is elected by the membership at an annual meeting held each spring. We have been successfully serving the needs of our members for 43 years. Our present Board consists of : Vice President - H. Scott Austin Treasurer - William E. Terrell, Jr. Secretary - S.
